Final GRACE Stakeholder Consultations
GRACE will be organising two stakeholder workshops which will be held back-to-back in Vienna:
- 5-6 Oct 2015: on the draft results of systematic reviews and evidence maps conducted on topics highly relevant for health, environmental and socio-economic GMO impact assessment as well as on draft recommendations on the use of these methods in the context of GMO impact assessment
– Draft Agenda
- 7-8 Oct 2015: on the draft results of the whole-food animal feeding studies and alternative approaches conducted with GM maize MON810 as well as on draft recommendations on the conduct and value of these studies for GMO risk assessment
– Draft Agenda
The stakeholder workshops aim at discussing in detail the draft results, conclusions and recommendations of GRACE. Stakeholder comments received at this step can and are likely to have an impact in the completing stages of the project. As with previous GRACE stakeholder consultations there will also be a procedure for written comments.
The workshops are open to all stakeholders in GMO impact assessment and research* but prior registration is required indicating which workshop(s) you want to attend. Early registration is suggested as seats are limited.
Registrations to the stakeholder workshops and any questions should be sent to:
GRACE-consultation@aau.at (Deadline: 4 Sept.).
* In order to allow for an open exchange of views and free flow of discussions GRACE stakeholder workshops are not open to journalists. Interested journalists are highly welcome to the final conference of GRACE.
GRACE is inviting experts, stakeholders and interested members of the public to take part in a scientific discussion of the results of its recently published 90-day feeding study with genetically modified MON810 maize.
