Open scientific forum for public debate of GRACE results
GRACE is inviting experts, stakeholders and interested members of the public to take part in a scientific discussion of the recently published results of the project:
- 90-day feeding study with genetically modified MON810 maize
- Improved statistical approach for better interpretation of feeding trial data.
A public discussion forum was set up for this purpose, hosted by the scientific journal Archives of Toxicology.
We invite letters/commentaries up to 2,000 words which may contain up to ten references. Both sides (pro and contra the article) are encouraged to contribute.
Scientific arguments will be published unchanged; however, commentaries with personal attacks will not be published.
We are looking forward to the discussion.

Current contributions:
- In December 2014, the Editor-in-Chief of Archives of Toxicology, Prof. Jan Hengstler, launched the open scientific forum with a leading article:
J. Hengstler: Invitation to an open scientific discussion. Arch Toxicol (2015) 89:1–2
- In another contribution, Prof. Pablo Steinberg, one of the main authors of the GRACE paper, responded in detail to criticisms of the 90-day feeding study raised by Testbiotech:
P. Steinberg: Response to a report and press release by Bauer-Panskus and Then (2014) criticizing the presentation and interpretation of the results of recently published 90-day feeding studies with diets containing genetically modified MON810-maize varieties and their comparators (Zeljenková et al. 2014).
